Iron Sights is proudly owned and operated by Major (Retired) Cary Baker MSM, CD.
Cary served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1984 to 2009 as an Armoured Reconnaissance officer with the Prince Edward Island Regiment, as a Combat Engineer officer with 4 Engineer Support Regiment & 32 Armoured Engineer Regiment (Royal Engineers) and with Canada’s special operations unit Joint Task Force Two. During his 25 years of service, he deployed to Bosnia, Eritrea, and completed five tours in Afghanistan. In 2008 he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) for leading an International Special Operations team of US, German and Norwegian Special Forces members for six months in Cape Verde training the Cape Verde Coast Guard Marines how to plan and conduct complex Maritime Counter Terrorism operations. After retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces in 2009, Cary was recruited by NATO to be a “civilian” Special Operations instructor at the NATO Special Operations School in Belgium. In 2017 he retired from NATO and opened Iron Sights.
